Spurs: The San Antonio Spurs defeated the OKC Thunder 130 to 110 as Wemby’s streak of 101 consecutive games with a block ends! WeM-VP had 12 points off the bench and continues to be thorn in the side of the Thunder as the Spurs are 2-0 against them this year. His impact on the court continues to show just how his game can and will impact a series in this years playoffs. The confidence he gives his team cannot be overlooked and is a reason the Spurs have played some good basketball against the defending champs! K. Johnson lead all scorers on the Spurs with 25 points and continues to be a 6th man of the year candidate! Pineapple express remains steady for the Spurs with S. Castle (24pts, 3ast) and D. Vassell (17pts, 5rebs) each have impactful moments on defense as well as offense for the Spurs! H. Barnes (20pts) or as the younger generation call him (Unc) is starting to get back to form from deep and has been a steady force when the young Spurs team needs a bucket and a leader down the stretch!

Thunder: J. Williams (17pts) is still getting back into form and is always a dangerous option for the Thunder! SGA (33pts) is still getting buckets, but many around the NBA are pointing at his antics and foul percentage as a real problem similar to how J. Harden was officiated a few years back. The San Antonio crowd were yelling (Flopper) every time he was on the free throw line! It is a quick turnaround to X-Mas day for both teams!

Spurs: The San Antonio Spurs defeated the Washington Wizards 124 to 113 in a game that got closer than anticipated! The Spurs were up by 24 points at one point in the game, but the Wizards kept playing and got close enough to keep the starters in the game in the 4th quarter! V. Wembanyama (14 points, 12 rebounds and 2 blocks) was great off the bench once again! He continues to impact games in an MVP level while coming off the bench, all while not being patient when coming back from injury. D. Fox (27pts, 7ast) is awesome to watch in the open court! His court vision and ability to finish as well as his command for attention has defenders on skates majority of the game! Speaking of another Spurs guard that stays in the paint, S. Castle (18pts, 5rbs, 11ast) owns real estate in the nations capital! He had a nasty steal and slam in the 2nd quarter that is on highlights around the NBA! L. Kornet is an honorable mention for this game totaling 20 pts and 12 rbs in a very effective night!

Wizards: The Washington Wizards have a good young player to build on in B. Carrington (21pts). He has flashes of shooting and playmaking! Some NBA team needs to save CJ McCollum! He can still get buckets and is just wasting in Washington!

Spurs: Consistency is key if the Spurs want to make a run in the deep Western Conference! Having an MVP candidate come off the bench in V. Wembanyama is a luxury the Spurs are taking advantage of at this moment in time. The San Antonio Spurs defeated the Washington Wizards 119 to 94, and defeated the Atlanta Hawks 126 to 98, in the last two games to gain momentum as well as stack wins. WeM-VP is starting to heat up (15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks in 15 minutes) against the Wizards and (26 points, 12 rebounds and 2 blocks against the Hawks), will eventually be back in the starting line-up, but his impact is MVP caliber no matter if he starts or comes off the bench! D. Harper (24 points against the Wizards) is getting more and more comfortable in his approach to the game. He shows no fear and is in total control of the Spurs potent bench unit. D. Vassell (18 points) and S. Castle (17 points) against both the Wizards and Hawks have been steady as starters at the 2 and 3 for the Spurs! They complement each other as D. Vassell is a shooter and S. Castle is a slasher! Winning the games you are suppose to win is key in keeping San Antonio in the thick of the crazy Western Conference playoff race!

Wizards: A. Sarr is a building block for the tanking Wizards. He can be a future NBA center but needs more pieces around to be truly effective!

Hawks: N. Alexander-Walker is still a dog when you discuss who the Hawks are and what they want to do when trying to win games. The Hawks are a drive and kick 3 point shooting type offense and are without T. Young. They need him back if they are to push for a play-in slot!

Spurs: The San Antonio Spurs lost the Emirate Cup Championship to the New York Knicks 124 to 113 in a game the Spurs controlled for three quarters. V. Wembanyama had 18 and 6 rebounds to pace the Spurs, but it was not enough as the Knicks outscored the Spurs 35 to 19 in the fourth quarter. D. Harper helped the bench unit by scoring 21 points hitting 5 three pointers. S. Castle (15 points) and D. Fox (16 points) each scored in double figures but it wasn’t enough to get the victory as the Spurs went cold in the fourth quarter.

Knicks: OG. Anunoby had 28 points to lead the Knicks in scoring as well as having a huge impact in the victory over the Spurs. J. Brunson scored 28 points and was a big factor in the Knicks winning the game, as well as winning the entire Cup Championship! This Knicks team will be a hard out in the playoffs and are a contender in the East!

Spurs: The San Antonio Spurs defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 111 to 109 to snap OKC’s 16 game win streak! WeM-VP delivered a clutch performance against the defending champs with 22 points and 9 rebounds in only 21 minutes of playing time. He made an impact right away when he was in the game on both sides of the ball. This gave the Spurs extreme confidence and even had the crowd cheering “MVP” during the game. StarFox was also a big reason the Spurs won the game scoring 22 points and getting 4 assists, setting the tone for the Spurs comeback helping secure victory! S. Castle had a few rough instances in the game, but rebounded perfectly to get 22 points and 6 rebounds as well as playing solid defense down the stretch. D. Vassell chipped in 23 points and really got the Spurs going after blocking Shai! This team is fast, fun and physical and has a top five player in the NBA! The future is very bright for San Antonio, look out NBA!

Thunder: OKC is an amazing team and needs recognition for what they have accomplished this season. SGA is the reigning MVP and can win a game and series against any team. He had 29 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists as well as timely buckets to keep the game close throughout! C. Holmgren 17 points and 7 rebounds played well, and will be key for the Thunder if they are going to win back to back chips! J. Williams 17 points and 7 rebounds also had a good game but it was not enough to get the Thunder past the Spurs!

Spurs: The San Antonio Spurs defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 132 to 119 to advance to the final round against the OKC Thunder! S. Castle lead the show with 30 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists to pace the Spurs and get the win! D. Fox had 20 points and 4 rebounds and continues to help the team with timely buckets and great leadership! H. Barnes 16 points, and L. Kornet 10 points and 8 rebounds continue to be reliable and steady for the Spurs. The Spurs awesome bench unit (8th in the NBA) can be counted on to punish teams in the half and full court with K. Johnson 17 points and 8 rebounds, as well as J. Champagnie 16 points and 7 rebounds and of course rookie sensation D. Harper 13 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists, all playing consistent sound basketball! The Spurs now take on the 24-1 Thunder in the NBA Cup championship!

Lakers: L. Doncic 35 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assist, can be fantastic as well as his own enemy when playing basketball. He has worldly talent and can score with the best of them, but his defense is subpar and his constant complaining about fouls get in his way! L. James 19 points, 15 rebounds and 8 assists is still one of the best to play the sport of basketball, his nasty dunk on L. Kornet was a flashback to old times! A. Reaves 15 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists was a thorn in the Spurs side all night long. The Spurs put D. Fox on him and at times A. Reaves had some good moments , but it was not enough to get the victory for the Lakers. This team will be wanting to make a deep run, but the defense and slow pace will determine just how far they get!

Spurs: D. Harper had a great game with 22 points and 6 assists off the bench as well as the game winner to beat the New Orleans Pelicans 135 to 132. The Spurs had a 22 point lead going into halftime but the pesky pelicans came roaring back and even seemed as if they would steal the win going up one with 30 seconds left. Coach Johnson decided to put the game into the hands of the second pick in the draft and D. Harper scored the eventual game winner with 9.1 seconds left as the Spurs closed out the victory with great defense! D. Fox 14 points, 7 assists and S. Castle 18 points, 5 assists and 5 rebounds, each had moments as the lead guard in what is a very scary backcourt in San Antonio! This was the first time this season that all three played together and closed the game.

Pelicans: The Pelicans lost for a third time this season against the Spurs but have played them tough every game! No Z. Williamson for the Pels but D. Queen 33 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists had an amazing game! He looks like a solid player and is slowly growing into a force for the Pels! T. Murphy III helped get the Pels back into the game scoring 32 points, but it wasn’t enough to stop the three headed guard lineup San Antonio rolled out during the game!

Spurs: The San Antonio Spurs lost to a hot Cleveland Cavaliers team 130 to 117. The Spurs Started hot themselves, especially D. Vassell 28 points and D. Fox 25 points but it was not enough to counter a hot Cavs team. B. Biyombo got the start at center and at times held his own but the run and gun Cavs could not be stopped! J. Sochan 10 points and K. Johnson 14 points helped the Spurs keep it close off the bench but they just could not match the Cavs down the stretch!

Cavaliers: The Cleveland Cavaliers once again look like contenders in the east. D. Mitchell 28 points and E. Mobley 17 points and 10 rebounds both are legitimate stars in the NBA. This team will be dangerous and can make a run if the cards fall into place!

Spurs: The San Antonio Spurs won back to back games against the Memphis Grizzlies and Orlando Magic because of big performances from (UNC) H.Barnes, (Star-Fox) D. Fox and the Spurs potent bench! H. Barnes has been awesome for the Spurs since the team traded for the 6’7 forward in 2024. He scored 31 points in the Spurs comeback victory over the Memphis Grizzlies Tuesday night. The team calls him (UNC) which is short for uncle or as the younger generation calls the older generation, “Uncle.” There is also the fact that Harrison Barnes played college at the University of North Carolina where the three letters that give the college it’s identity is UNC! (Star-Fox) D. Fox is also playing great as of late! His last two game splits of 29,4,4 and 31,5,5 are the exact reason the Spurs traded for him last season! Star-Fox’s ability to be a blur in the open court as well as close the game or take it over will do wonders for the Spurs best player V. Wembanyama! The Spurs are also turning heads by showcasing their potent bench unit. K. Johnson 11 and 13 points and D. Harper 15 and 16 points are maintaining the balance for the second unit by attacking and being consistent off the bench! When Wemby and S. Castle come back the second unit will be even more potent with J. Champagnie going back to the second unit.

Spurs: The San Antonio Spurs lost a close game to the Minnesota Timberwolves after leading for most of the contest. D. Fox lead the way with 25 points and D. Vassell chipped in 22 points but it was not enough against a Wolves team that erupted in the fourth quarter! K. Johnson continued his strong play with 22 points off the bench as well as rookie sensation D. Harper scoring 17 points off the bench to help the Spurs stay in the game. The Wolves outscored the Spurs 36 to 19 in the fourth quarter to steal the game and get the win! Having L. Kornet in the game in the 4th quarter when Wemby returns will help this team close out good teams but when Wemby is not there and other teams such as the Wolves goes small ball L. Kornet is not an ideal match-up on defense due to his immobility. Time will show how the Spurs can close out certain good teams but when a team goes small Coach M. Johnson will have to make a calculated adjustment if the Spurs are to make take that next step!

Wolves: The Timberwolves are a good squad! They have plenty of offense and defense to make another deep run in the playoffs! The question remains how will R. Gobert be utilized in the playoffs? The Wolves made a run with him on the bench most of the second half. A. Edwards (ANT-MAN) is off to a good start for the season and scored 32 points. The Spurs made his earn it but he was efficient throughout the game. N. Reid was stellar off the bench with 15 points and D. DiVencenzo had 18 to help the Wolves beat the Spurs. Look for this team to make a deep run!
