San Antonio Spurs

Brandon Lucero here, Journalist and Photographer dedicated to covering the San Antonio Spurs. I served onboard the USS San Antonio while in the United States Navy! I utilized my GI Bill and went to college where I received my Associates and Bachelors degrees in Journalism and Photography!

Spurs: The San Antonio Spurs defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 115 to 102 despite Wemby leaving with a rib injury. The All-Star center had 17 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 blocks in 16 minutes. He collided with P. George and returned briefly before leaving the game again. S. Castle (19pts,10rebs,13ast) controlled the offensive with composure all while getting a triple double! D. Fox (13pts,4ast) had another off game but played well on defense. He will have to get past this slight slump if the Spurs are to make some noise in the playoffs! The Spurs bench unit was solid with D. Harper (17pts,4ast) K. Johnson (13pts,9rebs) and L. Kornet (10pts,3rebs) all playing consistent. The Spurs have won 28 of their past 31 games and won thier 60th game of the season! I predicted 55 wins on this website and am very happy with how the team has performed!

Sixers: The 76ers are a scary 6th seed! J. Embid (34pts,12rebs) was a terror in the post, especially when Wemby went out of the game. P. George (16pts) T. Maxey (15pts) and VJ. Edgecombe (14pts) when healthy, are very dangerous! If they get a favorable matchup they could make a run, but thier lack of bench might hold them back!
