San Antonio Spurs

Brandon Lucero here, Journalist and Photographer dedicated to covering the San Antonio Spurs. I served onboard the USS San Antonio while in the United States Navy! I utilized my GI Bill and went to college where I received my Associates and Bachelors degrees in Journalism and Photography!

Spurs: The San Antonio Spurs extended their win streak to 11 games in an impressive undefeated February against the struggling Brooklyn Nets! J. Champagnie (26pts) the Brooklyn native was lights out from deep (6-9) in front of his family and friends to help lead the Spurs to victory and keep the win streak alive! D. Vassell (14pts) and S. Castle (18pts) both played solid on both sides of the ball! The point guard attack of D. Fox (14pts) and D. Harper (12pts) were also outstanding and maintained pace throughout the game! V. Wembanyama (12pts) was mostly a defensive anchor for the Spurs as the guards did most of the damage. K. Johnson (13pts) was also a factor off the bench and helped the Spurs keep the lead.

Nets: Brooklyn is in a rebuilding mode and seems like they are more focused on what to do after the season. MPJ (25pts) and N. Claxton (12pts) are the only trade pieces that will yield a return back. Hopefully they find someone to build on or they will become the N.Y. Jets of the NBA! Speaking of N.Y. the Spurs play the Knicks next game in a cup championship rematch!
